In order to keep our horses happy and healthy, there are essential procedures we need to perform to keep them at optimal health. Some horses can find these things stressful or confusing or just downright boring and struggle to make the process as stress free and straight forward as it could be.

Would you love it if your horse could stand nicely for the farrier? Feel less of a need to snatch their feet away at the worst moment or just ultimately keep your farrier safe!

Does your horse hate visits from the vets? Do they find the thought of needles terrifying? Does your horse make worming a nearly impossible task?

Does your horse struggle to stand still when you try to groom them? Do they make a break for it as soon as they see the clippers approaching?

These are all really common areas of day to day life that many horses struggle with. In our horse handling sessions, we will teach you and your horse valuable skills to make all of these tasks much, much simpler! Using positive reinforcement methods, we will teach your horse that co-operation can actually be incredibly rewarding and even fun! We will also teach you and your horse how to communicate with each other much more subtly so that you can offer your horse support if they are struggling with a particular procedure. Giving your horse the option to co-operate actually leads to much greater likelihood that they will continue to co-operate time and time again!

Our horse handling sessions start at £25 per 1 hour session. I will come out to your property/yard that you livery at to start helping you and your horse to find essential, everyday procedures a piece of cake!
